More Than a Pallet Company
SD Re Palletwas founded with a straightforward belief: pallets don't belong in landfills. Every year, roughly 700 million pallets circulate through the U.S. supply chain, and far too many are discarded after a single use. We set out to change that in San Diego and across Southern California.
Our operation spans the full pallet lifecycle. We source and sell recycled and new wood pallets, offer responsible recycling for pallets that have reached the end of their structural life, and provide fleet delivery so you never have to worry about logistics.
What sets us apart is our commitment to sustainability at every stage. Our six-step quality process ensures that every pallet we send out meets or exceeds industry standards, while our zero-waste philosophymeans nothing goes to the landfill. Boards that can't be reused are converted into mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel.
We serve businesses of every size, from local shops needing a few dozen pallets to enterprise warehouses requiring tens of thousands per month. Whether you need standard GMA 48×40 pallets, Euro pallets, or custom dimensions, we have the inventory and expertise to deliver exactly what you need.

SD Re Pallet exists to eliminate pallet waste from the Southern California supply chain while delivering superior quality at a lower cost than new pallets. Our mission is built on three pillars: environmental stewardship, economic value, and operational excellence.
Environmental Stewardship:The U.S. disposes of roughly 420 million pallets every year, accounting for an estimated 8–10% of all wood waste in landfills. Each pallet we recycle prevents approximately 25 kg of CO₂ emissions and saves 3.5 board feet of lumber. Across our annual volume, that translates to over 8,400 trees left standing and more than 1,200 metric tons of carbon kept out of the atmosphere. Learn more on our sustainability page.
Economic Value:Recycled pallets cost 30–50% less than brand-new alternatives while delivering identical structural performance. For a warehouse cycling through 5,000 pallets per month, that savings adds up to $30,000–$75,000 annually. We pass those savings directly to our customers, whether they are a local brewery shipping cases or a Fortune 500 distribution hub processing full truckloads daily.
Operational Excellence: Every pallet we sell passes through our rigorous six-stage quality process. We maintain a 100% inspection rate (no sampling), offer same-day delivery on in-stock items, and back everything with our no-questions-asked replacement guarantee. Our certifications verify these commitments at every level.
Our Core Values
These five values guide every decision we make, from sourcing lumber to scheduling deliveries.
Zero-Waste Mindset
Nothing goes to landfill. Boards that cannot be reused become mulch, animal bedding, or biomass fuel. Metal fasteners are recycled. Even sawdust enters our mulch stream. We track our diversion rate quarterly and it has been 100% since 2020.
Uncompromising Quality
We inspect every single pallet before it leaves our yard. Our technicians average 5+ years of experience, and our defect rate is below 0.3%. If a pallet fails to meet its grade spec, we replace it at no cost, period.
Customer-First Service
Same-day delivery on in-stock items. One-business-day quote turnaround. Dedicated account managers for enterprise clients. We answer the phone, and we follow through. Our contact page makes reaching us easy.
Transparency & Integrity
Our grading system is clearly documented. Our pricing is straightforward with no hidden fees. Our certifications are available for inspection upon request. We believe trust is earned through openness.
Safety Always
Our workplace injury rate is 60% below the industry average. Every employee is OSHA-trained, PPE is mandatory, and our safety committee meets monthly. We extend this commitment to the pallets themselves: no protruding nails, no splinters, no hazards.
Community Investment
We hire locally, partner with San Diego workforce development programs, donate mulch to community gardens, and support environmental nonprofits. Our business grows because our community grows.

Community Involvement
We believe a strong business should strengthen the community around it. SD Re Palletinvests in San Diego through direct employment, environmental restoration, and educational outreach.
Local Hiring: Over 90% of our workforce lives within 30 miles of our facility. We offer competitive wages, health benefits, and internal promotion pathways. Many of our current supervisors started on the sorting line.
Community Gardens & Parks: Each year we donate over 500 cubic yards of pallet-derived mulch to community gardens, school campuses, and public parks across San Diego County. This mulch suppresses weeds, retains moisture, and keeps wood out of landfills simultaneously.
Educational Outreach: We host facility tours for high school and community college students interested in sustainability, logistics, and skilled trades. In 2024, we welcomed over 300 students to our yard to see the circular economy in action.
Environmental Cleanups: Our team participates in at least four organized cleanup events per year, including coastal cleanups, river restoration days, and neighborhood beautification projects. We have logged over 800 cumulative volunteer hours since 2019.
If your organization would like to partner with us on a community initiative, please get in touch. We are always looking for meaningful ways to give back.
